Aquamedic MiniFlotor Protein Skimmer is an internal protein skimmer for aquaria up to 200 litres (c. 50 gal)
The miniflotor is a small but powerful air-driven internal protein skimmer. It features a double reaction tube system: within the inner tube air bubbles rise and carry large quantities of water upward. This water then falls into the outer tube and carries the air bubbles downward to the expansion cone, here the bubbles turn and rise up against the strong counter-current, and carry waste products to the foam cup. This procedure ensures a long contact time for the bubbles, making this an effective, but compact, skimmer. The miniflotor includes a strong holding plate, allowing vertical movement of the skimmer to regulate the foam production zone. A lime wood air diffuser producing very fine air bubbles is also included.
For the air supply, we recommend the Mistral 200 membrane air pump.

Aquamedic Midiflotor Protein Skimmer is an internal protein skimmer for aquaria up to 400 litres (c. 100 gal)
The midiflotor is an air-driven counter current internal protein skimmer. Like the miniflotor, the midiflotor features a double reaction tube. Within the inner tube, air bubbles rise and carry large quantities of water upwards. This water falls into the external tube and carries the air bubbles downward into the expansion cone. Here the bubbles turn, and rise upward into the foam cup, against the strong counter-current. The midiflotor’s foam cup inner tube is conical, which ensures smooth extrusion into the cup, and helps to dry the foam. The strong holding system allows movement of the skimmer vertically to adjust the foam production zone. A lime wood air diffuser, producing very fine air bubbles, is included. For the air supply, we recommend the Mistral 300 membrane air pump

Aquamedic Turboflotor 750 Protein Skimmer is an internal motor driven protein skimmer for aquaria up to 400 litres (c. 100 gal)
The Turboflotor 750 is a compact, motor driven internal protein skimmer. A large volume mechanical prefilter is attached to the pump. The 10-watt venturi pump, with an Aqua Medic Needle Wheel, automatically draws in air and mixes it with the aquarium water. The resulting air/water mixture is forced into the 75 mm diameter reaction cylinder. An expansion cone with a post-filter is attached to the lower end of the cylinder. The foam cup inner tube is conically shaped to improve the ejection of foam. The strong holding system allows safe fastening of, and adjustments to, the skimmer whilst it is mounted in the aquarium.

The Turboflotor 1000 is a compact protein skimmer with an integrated trickle filter, designed for installation in a sump.
The skimmer includes a venturi pump with needle wheel to mix air with water, and pushes both into the 110mm Ø (4.4 inches) reaction pipe. The skimmer’s design ensures an intensive air-water mix giving a long contact time for the air bubbles. The bubbles create foam that is collected in the conical foam cup. Treated water from the reaction cylinder is fed to the attached Bactoball filled trickle filter, which is used for biological filtration.

The Turboflotor multi SL is our most versatile protein skimmer. It can be fixed to the side of the aquarium (‘hang-on’ mode), or placed inside or outside the sump of the filter. Its compact size makes it small enough to be installed in the cabinet.
In ‘hang-on’ mode, just the pump is placed inside the aquarium.
