	Aquamedic Nitratreductor 400 Ref: AQMN40 The Aqua Medic Nitratreductor NR 400 is a completely sealed biological filter. It is operated at a very low flow rate so that an oxygen free environment is created where naturally occurring bacteria reduce nitrate to harmless nitrogen gas. The filter can be installed in almost any position, inside or outside the aquarium or the cabinet. The water flow is provided by connecting to a standard canister filter, power head or by pass circuit. After maturing, the filter can keep the nitrate concentration in a normally loaded aquarium up to 400 litres at a very low level. The filter medium - Deniballs - is consumed and requires replacement in 9 to 12 months dependant on load. For optimum control we recommend the filter be used in conjunction with an Aqua Medic mV controller or an Aqua Medic mV computer. 	Aquamedic Nitratreductor 1000 Ref: AQMN100 The Nitratreductor is an anaerobic biological reactor for removing nitrates from marine and freshwater aquaria. It has a 10 l (c. 4.5 gals) volume and an internal circulation pump. The Nitratereductor works with a flow rate of 1 to 4 l/hr (c. 0.25 to 1 gph). In the absence of oxygen this situation promotes bacteria that metabolize nitrate. Denimar powder or Deniballs are used as an organic energy source. The Nitratereductor is a closed unit that can be integrated into filter systems, but may also be installed to stand alone under the aquarium. To monitor this process, it is possible to use a redox potential controller (ORP controller) in conjunction with an electrode inserted in the inbuilt PG13.5 port or the SP 3000 Dosing Pump (supplied) can be connected for a fully controlled system. 	Aquamedic Nitratreductor 5000 Ref: AQMN500 The Nitratereductor NR 5000 uses the same biological principle as our smaller model. It has a volume of 30 l (c 7.5 gal) and is supplied with an internal circulation pump, plus the connection for a pressurised redox probe with a PG 13.5 thread. Feeding the bacteria can be performed manually with Denimar or automatically using Deniballs in conjunction with an mV (ORP) controller. The Nitratereductor NR 5000 is a closed system, and should be supplied with feed water via a bypass or a dosing pump at a rate of 12 - 30 l/hr (c. 3 - 8 gph).
